OUR TEAM

Our leadership team is led by our Lead Pastor and is made up of three groups; trustees, location pastors and area leaders. These leaders serve all locations of Connect Church, with each location then having their own appointed leaders as well.

TRUSTEES

Tom MacDonald

Tom MacDonald has been the Lead Pastor since Connect Church was founded in 2020, having previously served as the minister of Scunthorpe Baptist Church. Tom studied at Mattersey Hall Bible College and is an accredited Baptist minister.

Trustees

Our board of Trustees includes Tom as Lead Pastor as well as Mike Hockey, Joy Sadler, Alison Robinson, Milos Karaffa, and Ann Sturman. Together they oversee the governance and spiritual direction of the church, supporting and releasing our teams.

Ashby Road

Tom was born in Germany before moving to the UK for secondary school. He was baptised as a believer in December 2003 in the same building that is now home to Connect Church Ashby Road. He is married to Debbie, is daddy to Erin, and is a big Liverpool fan!

Fiona Kirby-Smith

Crosby

Fiona is born and raised in Scunthorpe and has been leading in Crosby since its launch in 2020. Fiona is also on the board of trustees for the CrosbyONE Centre. She is married to Paul, they have a son and a dog, and they love hanging out with people with good food.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Faith Hudson

Supporting the trustees and leaders of the church is our Operations Manager, Faith, who help us things moving forward and on track.
