CONNECT FOUNDATION

Connect Foundation will be launching in April 2022.

Connect Foundation is a charity that exists to enable Connect Church to practically and tangibly seek the wellbeing of our local community, and to partner with like-minded organisations and community champions in an effort to see genuine and real community transformation.

The clear objectives of Connect Foundation are:

the prevention or relief of poverty by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty; and
the relief of unemployment in such ways as the Charity Trustees may from time to time decide, including assistance to find employment.

To help us achieve these objectives our key activities will be:

Community Engagement: creating projects and events that meet the needs of the community and directly fulfil the purposes of the charity. An example could be running job clubs or setting up additional Foodbank distributions.
Social Enterprise: creating opportunities that apply commercial strategies to maximise improvements in the well-being of the local community. An example could be opening a shop that is designed to provide work for those with additional learning, helping them gain employment skills.
Fundraising: creating financial resources that can further the work of the Connect Foundation, helping its projects become self-sufficient. An example could be hosting an auction where all profits are donated to the Connect Foundation.
